The Prophylactics
a) something (such as a condom) for preventing venereal disease
b) a contraceptive device
c) a rogue band of misfit musicians caught in a fugue

The Prophylactics are (this time):
SK and various other complicit accomplices
(huh?)

The Prophylactics exist as a by-product of the times in which they live.
Or lived, seeing as how they may have originated back in the day,
sometime in the '50's, in a garage down the street from Butch R. Cleaver.

They followed Mr. Cleaver to the modern times via a brief
hookup from one of their amplifiers to his radio
that lasted exactly the length and breadth of the
Meet Cleaver Theatre theme song and, by some strange happenchance,
Mr. Cleaver was able to tape record the song.

Kooky, eh?

As soon as the portal that allowed the recording of the theme song
closed, however, we're quite sure that The Prophylactics
were zapped to Salem and burned as witches when no one there
could understand SA's exclamation that,
"we must've hit a seventh and it should've been a ninth."

Occasionally, when the weather is just right though, Mr. Cleaver can pick up
on further jams that The Prophylactics have sent across time & space,
thus giving credence to the idea that The Prophylactics
are still zipping through time, much like Sliders (the show, not the sandwich).

If you're interested in hearing what a time-travelling circus of surf guitar
and thumping bass sounds like, check out the DKP Catalog.
